A Builder-Grade New Build, Elevated Through Furnishings | Oil & Lavender
When this family of four moved into their new build home in Denver’s University neighborhood, they were ready to leave behind furniture that no longer fit their life and create spaces that felt elevated, functional, and personal to them.
As a busy family balancing everyday life, they wanted a partner who could take the heavy lifting off their plate. Through our full-service furnishings process, we handled everything from furnishings selections and space planning to installation and styling, creating a seamless experience from concept to completion.
Our goal was to bring warmth and intention to the home, creating an atmosphere inspired by the comfort and sophistication of a luxury hotel while still supporting everyday family life. Clean modern lines, layered neutral tones, and thoughtful spaces for entertaining helped transform the home into a place designed for gathering and living well.
One of the most meaningful details lives in the dining room, where we framed original architectural blueprints from the client’s great-great grandfather, Colorado’s first architect, as a nod to their family history and connection to design.
Beyond the main living spaces, we reimagined three bedrooms to better support how this family lives today. The girls each helped shape their own rooms so they feel personal now while allowing room to grow over time — hello pink.
We also transformed an underutilized hallway between the upstairs bedrooms into a dedicated homework space with custom millwork designed specifically for the girls. What was once unused square footage now supports everyday routines while giving each child a place to create, learn, and grow.
The result is a home that feels elevated without feeling untouchable — designed for entertaining, everyday life, and a growing family.
