What You Don’t See On Install Day

Install day is the fun part.

It’s also the day our clients get to do…absolutely nothing.

And that’s kind of the point.

By the time you see the finished room, our team has already spent weeks—or months—ordering furniture, tracking shipments, coordinating deliveries, handling damages and making sure all of the pieces are ready to come together.

Because while install day might look like one big before-and-after moment, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes to make it feel that way.

Before Anything Arrives at Your House

For our full-service furnishing projects, we handle the ordering and coordination of the pieces going into your home.

That means our clients don’t have to keep track of which nightstand shipped, whether the dining chairs have arrived or why one lamp somehow made it to Colorado while its matching partner is still hanging out three states away.

When pieces arrive at our receiving warehouse, they’re inspected so we can catch damages or issues before install day. If something arrives broken, incorrect or missing, we work through it.

Our clients hire us because their time is valuable. They shouldn’t have to spend it tracking furniture orders and sitting on hold with a freight company.

Then Comes Install Day

This is when our team takes over the house.

Furniture is delivered and placed. Rugs are rolled out. Artwork gets hung. Beds are made. Bookshelves are styled. Accessories are placed.

And then we start fussing.

We hide cords. We adjust furniture. We move the lamp. Then we move the lamp back. We steam bedding, style pillows and make sure all of those little details feel finished.

Meanwhile, there are boxes. So. Many. Boxes.

Part of our job is managing all of that too—the packaging, trash and general chaos that comes with furnishing an entire space at once.

The goal is for our clients to miss that part entirely.

Because the Reveal Isn’t Really the Service

The finished space is obviously the exciting part.

But full-service design isn’t just about making a room beautiful.

It’s about taking the work required to get there off of our clients’ plates.

Instead of spending your evenings tracking shipments, coordinating deliveries, returning damaged pieces or figuring out who is going to hang 14 pieces of artwork, you get to walk into a home that feels finished.

By the time you come through the door, everything is in place.

That’s our favorite part of install day: watching a room stop feeling like a project and start feeling like home.

And knowing our clients didn’t have to spend their time getting it there.
